The LGBT movement was an important part of the resistance against the coup in Honduras in 2009. In an increasingly militarized society, lesbians, gays, bisexuals and transsexuals more often victims of state violence. The brutal murders hatred, often perpetrated by police or military, have increased since the coup. The community tried to defend themselves.
