Linocut
For the 8th Grade is the study of a printmaking technique authentic. As a very practical proves to be the linocut. Linoleum is used traditionally since 1860 to manufacture flexible and sound-absorbing floors. It consists of linseed oil, cork flour and a coarse jute fabric as support material. has the very good suitability as a printing block already identified Picasso. Unlike wood, there is no grain, the cutting limits. Moreover, it is relatively soft and can be processed by students of this age without much effort.
Pablo Picasso "Tete de Femme - Portrait de Jacqueline", color linocut, 1962
Picasso in colors to the single-plate color printing ("lost cut") developed:
first Status:
For the first of the four prints has been printed almost the entire plate in one ocher. Only the white of the eye showing the blank - in this case white - paper.
second State
For the second condition were other parts of the plate cut out. A copy on white paper in the color of the later result would look like above.
exact fit to the first printed color provides the intermediate result but, as follows:
third State
And hence the third condition, also initially only in the sound, and finally as a third state on the two previously colors printed:
4th State
The linear cut (black line editor) last record is printed in black on the last state and gives the print a certain depth and a solid cohesion.
If you know how to do it is, but everything is easy, right?
The color lino Picasso are sophisticated games with the possibilities of the lost section. Occasionally, the artist uses, but also cut up panels, which were rolled prior to assembly and prints each in a different color.
This very striking exhibition Picasso poster has let in two runs print (the luxury of enjoying most of the students, too ;-)), but with two different, though equally large Linolplatten!
The remains of the plate provides extensive and multi-colored background. A plate is cut and separated the pieces and rolled in different colors. The middle section, however, was removed!
with an ink that was not opaque, but translucent, the second plate on the first state was printed. In this case, mix the overlapping colors!
But even with even simpler means succeed Picasso amazing image effects.
What starts as a black line cutting looks at which stopped all the lines, everything else has been cut away, then it is a white line cut. The trick is clear when one looks at the picture below.
The white line section is printed in opaque light gray on a black mirror (in this case is offset to make vivid effect serving snacks).
can be this simple method of multi-colored backgrounds, patterned paper, and so forth creative.

- impression of the raw disk in a generally light tone
- cutting out the drawing. Pressure in the mostly dark tone on the first sheet
- cutting away of other games and pressure with a different, usually darker color

defined resistance strategy in Honduras.
Tegucigalpa. end of February was held in Honduras, the largest General Assembly of the resistance movement FNRP. Over 1,500 representatives from all states and social sectors gathered in the capital, Tegucigalpa. The decision followed the coup against President Manuel Zelaya in 2009, founded FNRP at the meeting on future strategies for democratic change in the country. In addition, new delegates were elected. It was ensured that all regions and social sectors are represented. Even a 50 percent quota for women and many young people took account of organized resistance in the choice of its representatives. As Coordinator and sub-coordinator of the President were in exile, Manuel Zelaya, and re-elected the union Juan Barahona.
At the General Assembly of 26 to 27 February were two main groups evident: While one side argued for the participation in the forthcoming elections, another group sat down for a time being a non-institutional path, that is, the further boycott of the illegitimate government of President Porfirio Lobo and a separate notice a Constituent Assembly.
Although many activists and observers represented a trend towards elections, the decision was made at the General Assembly yet different. The coup President Manuel Zelaya, who continues to live in exile and takes from there the representative role of the main coordinator of FNRP was an important trigger for the short-term change of opinion. In his communiqué in February he had written that it was not the moment to think about elections. The FNRP should beware of the "terrible way", "in the Assembly in a 'new' party to transform a traditional character" and thus lose the power of a social movement.
also boycott the meeting by some proponents of participation in elections in the newly formed Frente Amplio Electoral (Broad coalition, FAPER) are combined, was decisive for the result. Whether this alliance reunited with FNRP or involves a final split of the boycott is still unpredictable.
The meeting was finally held that voter turnout can be expected only when "conditions are right for it." This includes the majority FNRP the unconditional return of Zelaya and other political exiles, and the implementation of a self-convened Constituent Assembly and the amendment of electoral law. This could take the FNRP following as a social and political force in elections. A separation into a political party and a social movement they will thus prevent.
The Constituent Assembly is on the second anniversary of the coup, on 28 June 2011, to be convened. In addition to the regime continues to exert pressure, including through an early national general strike. Especially the peasant movements in the northern conflict zone Bajo Aguan Facusse support was pledged in her campaign against the repressive Palm oil plantation owners.
